Barb Whisler has been managing the Manhattan office since 2005, when she and her husband, Kent — a store manager for Mead Lumber — moved from her hometown of Goodland, Kan. Interviewing with several places before choosing Hearing Doctors, she knew it was the right place for her.

Whisler keeps the office running smoothly, ensuring the doctors have everything they need, and making the process simple and clear for patients. Given her extensive background in people-centered positions — including jobs at a school district, a nursing home, a facility for adults with developmental disabilities, and a hospital — she has a natural ease with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Life
A proud mom and grandma, Whisler spends most weekends and vacations en route to see her three grown kids and four grandchildren. She is an avid reader, a devoted baker (bread and cakes are her goods of choice), and a football fanatic, clearing her Saturdays and Sundays to support the K-State Wildcats, the Denver Broncos, and the Minnesota Vikings.
