Comfort

The Situation

You may have tried a hearing aid before and struggled to become accustomed to it. But not all hearing aids are the same. They vary in size, levels of amplification, volume control and overall design.

Finding a hearing aid that’s comfortable and that works for you is all about getting the right fit, the proper sound level, and the time to adapt to wearing it.

How We Can Help

Hearing Doctors of Kansas specializes in hearing aid fittings, which can completely change how you respond to the device. We also offer free 30-day trials, giving you time to adjust to the feel of the aid before deciding whether it will work for you long-term.

Today, almost all our patients’ hearing aids are digital, which are much improved in comparison to older, analog hearing aids. This technology has made great strides in:

  • Controlling or eliminating feedback
  • Making sound more comfortable
  • Improving hearing amid background noise

It also enables us to customize the hearing aid for each patient’s hearing, adjusting it as your needs change. Certain hearing aids even allow you to alter the settings to suit your environment.

“I will never forget you and your great skill and care you showed me and my mother.”

Fast Fact

To protect your hearing, avoid noises at 85 decibels or higher, such as loud music, lawnmowers, motorcycles and firecrackers. And if exposed to such noises, be sure to wear ear plugs or other hearing protection.
