What to Expect

A typical appointment with the Hearing Doctors lasts just 30 to 45 minutes. Here’s what you can expect:

1. No paperwork.

When you arrive at Hearing Doctors for your appointment, you won’t have to fill out any forms or paperwork. Instead, your doctor will personally work with you to gather any information he needs to know.

2. A good case history.

Your doctor will ask about any hearing problems you’re having, and your medical background. Family history, medications, medical conditions — they can all affect your hearing and treatment.

3. Basic tests.

A series of quick, painless tests will include a visual inspection of your ears, and measurements of how well you hear speech, understand speech, and hear different frequencies.

4. A sit-down with your doctor.

Your doctor will talk with you — and a family member, if you like — about your test results. This is a great time to ask questions about your hearing.

5. Recommendations.

You and your doctor will discuss possible treatment options, from hearing aids or other listening devices, to medical referrals or future checkups.

6. Help with insurance and financing.

We are happy to work with your insurance company to determine whether your treatment is covered. We also offer financing to qualifying patients.

“I’m very satisfied with them — the best service I’ve ever had. It puts me back in the game.”

Hearing aids aren’t all the same. They may vary in size, design, features, volume control, and amplification levels.
